CONSIGNMENT SALES PROGRAM


This program is offered to non-profit organizations for fund raising purposes.  The intention is to allow the group to make the maximum amount of money with the least amount of risk.

Program:

• Qualifying groups must contact MRG prior to their sale.  February or March is ideal as special orders can be taken into consideration.  Minimum contact one month prior to sale.
• Sale dates must be prior to Memorial Day to qualify for consignment status.
• Sale dates must be scheduled with MRG at least one month prior to sale. 
• Items offered for consignment are subject to availability.  Weather is a constant factor in availability.  (See attached listing)
• The group must place their order within 7 days of the sale.
• Orders can be picked up the day prior to the sale, but must be protected from frost and wind.
• Delivery is available to the sale location within a 15 mile radius without charge.  A delivery charge is assigned for outlying areas. 
• MRG supplies a suggested retail price list upon request. 
• Depending on sales volume, plant pick up is available after the sale. 
• Plants will be eligible for return within one day of the sale as long as they are not damaged, frosted, wind burnt or parched.
• A restocking fee will apply if returns are more than 50 pieces or as agreed upon with MRG staff.
• Collection of sales and related sales tax (if applicable) are the responsibility of the non-profit group.
• Payment to MRG must be made within two weeks of billing date.

Program suggestions: 
• Presales are suggested, but are a lot of work on your organization.  Orders must be placed in whole flats with us and it is your responsibility to break the orders into small lots.  (i.e. half flats) 
• Offer a sample of the plants one week prior to your sale you can call us to make arrangements for this.
• Signage is your silent sales person.
• Impulse sales are about 50% of total presale orders for most groups.
• Impulse sales mixes can be pulled at our discretion or at your request.
• Start small and plan to grow your sale each year
• Have fun with your sale- your raising money for a good purpose.
